LANESBORO — The Lyle-Pacelli boys and girls golf teams, like most teams in the area Friday, fought the rain and wind to open up their seasons.

LP fell to Lanesboro in both the boys and girls duels.

Lanesboro defeated LP girls 190-244.

Jennie Marx led the LP golfers with a 48, followed by Maggie Leif with a 58. Abby Leif dropped a 63 and Kim Krulish scored a 75.

On the boys side, LP fell 205-168.

Ben Aho was LP’s top golfer with a 48.

“It was really encouraging to see him shoot that,” head coach Mark Buntje said of Aho’s score.

Max Brennan and Spencer Holtorf both shot 51.

Ted king shot a 55 with Thomas Marx shooting a 56 and Cullin Goldberg landed a 64.

LP will host a dual against LeRoy-Ostrander/Grand Meadow Monday at River Oaks.
